Happy Boy

One of last year's holiday card out takes. Sadly it was a bit too blurry to make the cut, but I absolutely love this one. And the award for best smile ever goes to....

The Little Prince

So, the little old man went to the vet today for what was thought to be a problem with a pad on the bottom of one of his paws, but sadly his diagnosis ended up being much worse. His vet thinks the problem is neurological and likely a brain tumor which is potentially causing a variety of different problems. And while he was a good little soldier throughout the appointment, mum was not. While in the back of my mind ever since I adopted him I have tried to tell myself realistically that my little old man and his big belly would leave me one day, I think that deep down I never actually thought that day would come. But now I am just worried about how to keep him comfortable and happy and loved for whatever time he might have left. I'm just wondering if there's some way to turn that time into forever.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

I have now entered the planning phase of this year's Xmas card. Past outfits include: reindeer, elf, and angel, so I am not sure which holiday persona the little old man will embrace this year. His Aunt Katherine has offered to provide her photoshop services, but he needs to be photographed in front of a white wall, but considering he doesn't respond to his own name let alone any basic commands, this could prove to be challenging. I am thinking hot dogs will have to be involved. It always comes back to hot dogs this little guy. In any event, he's doing what he does best, resting up for the big event.

Summer Camp

Also known as time spent at Gammy and Gampy's. The little old man has spent the bulk of the summer with my parents because I've been putting in long hours at the new job and traveling for work. Am hoping to have him back home very soon. Though I already feel sad for him because other than toast or microwave popcorn, I haven't prepared a single thing in my kitchen in months, unlike the world where my parents feed him from the table every day. Perhaps this why my little old man was less than thrilled to see me. That and I gave him a bath and cleaned his ears. No love for the mum.

So sweepy...

Sometimes little old men get so sweepy that they can't quite make it into bed...

For Juanita :)

Through no fault of his own, the little old man's blog has been a bit neglected as of late. As duly noted by my brother and the adorable Juanita. I got laid off in March, and while Buster and I spent practically every waking moment together (much to his delight, Mum's home, endless treats!), I couldn't quite motivate myself to chronicle it. But nevertheless, I've found myself gainfully employed again, and well, the wee one never ceased to be ridiculously adorable through it all, and quite honestly cheered me up when I was feeling quite sad about life. And when all else fails, he's excellent to have around to sort through the recyclables for dairy products.

Snuggled Up on His New Snuggly Bed

Someone pooped on his old bed and when mummy went to wash it, the bed fell apart. So someone landed himself a new snuggly bed. All snuggled up on a chilly winter day.
